- At least 21 years old
- Certified by the NCSA (Newborn Care Specialist Association) www.ncsainfo.com
- Minimum of 2 years experience – not including their own children
- Minimum of 6 references – must be able to contact them
- CPR Certified
- Post Partum Insured
- Must be able to successfully sleep train baby by 12 weeks. This does not include
people who sleep train by
- putting a newborn in their bed at 11 PM and not going in
again until 6 AM. This is not sleep training it is abuse.
- Non smoker
- Complete application filled out www.allaboutbabynurses.com/application.htm
- No drugs or addictions
- Thorough Background check (see below)
- Must be legal to work in United States
- Phone and/or in person interview with Exclusively Baby Nurses
- Available by phone and email
- Must have access to computer for sending information and receiving job notices
Complete Background Checks Include:
- Sex Offender Check - verifies that the candidate is not a registered sex offender
- Social Security Trace - this helps verify the social security number to the applicant’s name.
- Past Address History - this will confirm every place the candidate has resided in the past 7 years.
- National Criminal Check
- State Criminal Background Check
- Background checks are completed on every Newborn Care Specialist placed.
